WORKING FORMATS

After the first introductory meeting, we define the format of our work together based on your request, goals, and current needs

SHORT-TERM COUNSELING

A focused exploration of a specific situation, with recommendations and elements of psychoeducation.

[Duration: approximately 2–6 sessions]

SHORT-TERM THERAPY

Work with a clearly defined request or life situation. For example: fears, important decisions, preparation for public speaking, or support during a crisis period.

[Duration: up to approx. 12–16 sessions, usually once a week]

LONG-TERM THERAPY

Deeper work with inner processes, life patterns, and identity. Suitable for systemic change and long-term support.

    • Session duration: 50–55 minutes• Recommended frequency: once a week
    In crisis situations, more frequent sessions may be helpful at the beginning. For couples therapy, an extended session format is available.

Therapy is built on consistency.
The time we agree on is part of the work we are doing together — it creates structure, continuity, and depth.

  • • 24 hours or more in advance — the session can be rescheduled or cancelled without charge Less than 24 hours’ notice — 50% of the session fee applies. • Less than 4 hours’ notice or a missed session — the full session fee appliesThere are moments when unforeseen circumstances arise. If something genuinely unexpected happens, we will address it with care and find a reasonable solution.
    It is also worth noting that in therapy, cancellations, lateness, or missed sessions are sometimes not just logistical or “force major” — they can reflect something meaningful within the process. When this is relevant, we may choose to explore it together as part of the work.

  • The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, understand your request, and discuss what further work may look like.
    You do not need to prepare in advance or clearly formulate the problem. It is enough to simply describe the situation that is troubling you.

  • No. Many people come with a sense that “something is not right”, while finding it difficult to explain what exactly.
    Often, it is through the conversation itself that things gradually become clearer — what is happening, what feels important, and what may be worth working with.
    We will take the time needed to understand and clarify your needs.

  • The duration depends on your request.
    Sometimes, a few sessions are enough to explore and understand a specific situation. In other cases, people choose longer-term work when they want to look deeper into themselves, their patterns, and recurring life scenarios.

  • Yes. Everything discussed during the sessions remains confidential.
    Confidentiality is one of the core principles of professional therapeutic work. 

  • Change usually unfolds gradually.
    You may notice more clarity, a different way of responding to situations, new decisions, and a greater ability to act differently.

  • This is something we can and should discuss.
    An open dialogue about your feelings, expectations, and doubts is an important part of the process.
    If you feel that you want to cancel a session or stop the work, it is important to bring this into the next session. Often, this can be a natural part of the therapeutic process — and it may be especially valuable and useful if we can explore it openly together.

  • Not at all.
    Many people seek support not only during crises, but also when they want to understand themselves better, make important decisions, or move through a difficult life stage with greater awareness.
    Rather than a sign of weakness, this can be an expression of responsibility, inner strength, and the wish to create something better for yourself.

  • Yes. The work always remains your choice.
    Its duration and format are discussed together and may change depending on your needs.
    From the point of view of a healthy and respectful ending, it is best to discuss this in advance during a session, so that we can complete the work consciously and with care.
